This is really how white women talk about Indians when they go to India to “find themselves”. They talk about it as if it’s the dirtiest country in the world full of barbaric and smelly savages and yet they also act like Indians who engage in basic acts of decency and kindness are special beings above the rest of the country because apparently Indians can’t be kind or hospitable or polite lol. They use those experiences to front like they’ve discovered the meaning of life. It usually goes along the lines of “wow Indians are all poor ugly scary savages but even then they manage to be good people and that changed my life 😍”.

They do this in other South Asian countries. They do this in Southeast Asian countries. They do this in African countries. They do this in South American countries. And they do this with native Hawaiians too. White women are really the face of neo-colonialism and we can’t ignore that anymore!
